Headliner: Locations

Headliner Overview

• Molded headliner for vehicles without sunroof is shown in illustration. On vehicles with sunroof, remove headliner from cover frame. Refer to => [ Vehicles with sunroof ] Headliner.

• Follow all safety precautions when working on pyrotechnic components.

• Note the additional safety precautions when working on the side curtain airbag. Refer to => [ Head Curtain Airbag, Additional Safety Precautions ] Head Curtain Airbag, Additional Safety Precautions.






1 Headliner

• Removing and installing, refer to => [ Headliner ] Headliner.

2 Cover

• For the screen separator wall mount.

• Must be unclipped to remove and install headliner.

• Hangs after unclipping from the screen separator wall mount and cannot be removed.

• Remove and install the screen separator wall mount => [ Screen Separator Wall Mount ] Screen Separator Wall Mount.

3 Bolt

• 3 Nm

• Approximately 0.75 inch (19 mm) long

• If 2 screws of different lengths are installed, shorter screw for securing sun visor must be installed at front of direction of travel.

4 Bolt

• 3 Nm

5 Passenger Side Sun Visor

• Some vehicles are equipped with a double sun visor.

• Removing and installing, refer to => [ Sun Visor Overview ] Sun Visor Overview.

6 Driver Side Sun Visor

• Some vehicles are equipped with a double sun visor.

• Removing and installing, refer to => [ Sun Visor Overview ] Sun Visor Overview.

7 Center Cover

• For interior light/front reading light.

8 Decorative Frame

• For center cover.

9 Diffusion Lens

• For interior light/front reading light.

10 Bolt

11 Interior Light/Front Reading Light

12 Bolt

• 3 Nm

13 Sun Visor Center Bearing

• Removing and installing, refer to => [ Sun Visor Overview ] Sun Visor Overview.

14 Bolt

• 2 Nm

15 Front Roof Grab Handle

• Removing and installing, refer to => [ Roof Grab Handle ] Roof Grab Handle.

16 Screw, Self-Locking

• 4 Nm

• Replace

• Threaded holes for screws must always be cleaned (for example, with thread cutter).

17 Rear Roof Grab Handle

• Rear roof grab handle is equipped with a coat hook.

• Removing and installing, refer to => [ Roof Grab Handle ] Roof Grab Handle.

18 Left Rear Interior Light (W47) / Right Rear Interior Light (W48)

19 Clip

• Quantity: 3

• For headliner to assembly bridge.

20 Assembly Bridge

• For headliner to body.

21 Bolt

• 4 Nm

22 Rear Courtesy Light (W43)
