Special tools, testers and auxiliary items required

• Protective Cap For Cable Connector (VAS 6223/9)

The radio is located inside the luggage compartment under the right flap.

- Switch off all electrical consumers.

- Remove the key.

- If control module is replaced, select "Replacement" function for appropriate control module in "Guided Fault-Finding" routine.

Use the Vehicle Diagnosis, Testing and Information System (VAS 5051) to do so.

Removing

- Open rear lid.

- Remove the flap in the right side trim panel.

- Remove the cargo floor and the dirt tray.

A tab - 3 - holds the radio - 1 - in the bracket.





- Disconnect the connectors from the radio - 1 -.

- Attach the (VAS 6223/9) - 1 - onto the MOST-Bus connector - 2 -.





- Press the tab - 3 - down using the left hand. With the right hand, reach through opening in the side trim panel - 2 - and push the radio - 1 - in - direction of arrow - out of the bracket.





Installing

- Install in reverse order of removal.
