Fuel Supply Line to Metering Pump, Vehicles with Auxiliary Heater, Bleeding

• After working on the fuel delivery unit, bleed the fuel supply line for the metering pump on vehicles with an auxiliary heater.

Special tools, testers and auxiliary items required

• Suction Pump (VAS 5226)

• Hand Vacuum Pump (VAS 6213)

Procedure

• Parking heater switched off.

- Connect the (VAS 5226) to compressed air.

- Remove the fuel supply line - 2 - from the fuel tank at the metering pump - 1 -.






- Connect the (VAS 5226) with the adapter from the (VAS 6213) to the fuel supply line and bleed it by extracting briefly.

- Install the fuel supply line to the metering pump.

- Switch the parking heater on and let it run approximately 10 minutes under full load.
