Evaporator Vent Temperature Sensor (G263)

Removing

- Switch off ignition.

- Remove glove compartment.

- Disconnect connector - A - from Evaporator Vent Temperature Sensor.






- Rotate Evaporator Vent Temperature Sensor - B - approximately 90° in direction of arrow.

- Remove Evaporator Vent Temperature Sensor - B - from heating & A/C unit.

Installing

- Check seal - D - for damage and proper fitting.

- Insert Evaporator Vent Temperature Sensor - A - on proper side into heating & A/C unit mount - C -.

• An O-ring seal - D - is installed so that Evaporator Vent Temperature Sensor fits without play in mount - E -.

- Connect connector - B - from Evaporator Vent Temperature Sensor- A -.

- Install the remaining removed components again in reverse order.

- Check the DTC memory for the Climatronic control module (J255) and erase any faults displayed if necessary using the Vehicle diagnosis, testing and information system VAS 5051 in the "Guided Fault Finding" function.
