Rear Floor Covering
Removing
Follow all safety precautions when working on pyrotechnic components.
- Remove the front seats with the seat frames.
• Manual seat, refer to => [ Driver Seat Assembly Overview ] Driver Seat Assembly Overview.
• Memory seat, power seat and Comfort seat, refer to => [ Driver Seat Assembly Overview ] Driver Seat Assembly Overview.
- Remove second row seats.
• Seat beach (two-thirds bench), refer to => [ 2nd Row, 3-Seater Assembly Overview ] 2nd Row, 3-Seater Assembly Overview.
• Individual seat, refer to => [ 2nd Row, 2-Seater Assembly Overview ] 2nd Row, 2-Seater Assembly Overview.
- Remove the luggage compartment floor or the left and right supports in the luggage compartment. Refer to => [ Luggage Compartment Floor Covering Overview ] Luggage Compartment Floor Covering Overview.
- Remove the left and right wheel housing trim from the C-pillar. Refer to => [ Wheel Housing Liner Overview ] Wheel Housing Liner Overview.
- Remove left and right sill panel strip. Refer to => [ Sill Panel Trim Overview ] Service and Repair.
- Remove any covers or trims for the connector station, foot vent, etc.
- Detach the center console from the body brackets, refer to=> [ Center Console Assembly Overview ] Description and Operation and carefully raise it slightly in the rear area until the rear floor covering can be removed.
- Pull the floor covering back.
- Fold the floor covering lengthwise and remove it through a door.
Installing
Install in reverse order of removal. Note the following:
• Carefully install the floor covering in order to avoid damage.
- Slide the rear floor covering onto the front floor covering. Raise the center console rear area slightly in order to position the floor covering correctly.
- Ensure that all floor covering cut-outs are positioned correctly.
