Rear Lid Trim






Rear Lid Trim

Special tools, testers and auxiliary items required

Trim Removal Wedge (3409)

Pry Lever (80 - 200)

Removing

Versions with a sun shade

- Unclip the sun shade mount cover from the upper center rear lid trim.

- Unscrew the screw and remove the sun shade mount.

All

- Remove the upper center rear lid trim from the rear lid.

- Remove the upper left and right rear lid trim from the rear lid.

- Remove left and, if present, right luggage compartment lights - 1 -.






- If present, unclip Rear lid lock button in luggage compartment (E406) - 2 -.

- Disconnect electrical connectors.

- Unclip the inner left and right tail lamp cover with the (3409).

- Remove the bolts - 4 -.

- Open warning triangle cover - 5 - in - direction of arrow -.

- Remove warning triangle and remove 2 screws below - 6 -.

- Remove all remaining rear lid trim securing screws - 3 - from below.

- Carefully remove the lower rear lid trim from the rear lid by loosening the rear lid trim clamps with the (80 - 200).

- Grasp between the rear lid trim and the rear lid and disengage the remaining clamps.

Installing

Install in reverse order of removal. Note the following:

If the rear lid trim clamps remain in the body mounting points, remove these and insert them in the trims.

Check clamps for damage or deformation, replace if necessary.
