1 Hood
• Disconnect line to windshield washer system and unclip line.
• Second person is required to support and lift lid.
• Remove gas-filled strut - 4 - from hood - 1 -.
• Remove nuts - 6 -.
• Remove hood.
• Installing:
• Install in reverse order of removal.
• Adjusting:
• Align hood - 1 - between fenders.
• Adjust front height of hood at hood lock.
• Hood can be adjusted for height relative to fenders by adjusting the stop buffers.
• Panel gap dimension, refer to => [ Hood, Adjusting ] Adjustments.
2 Catch
3 Cap Nuts
• 11 Nm
4 Gas Strut
• Removing and installing, refer to => [ Gas-Filled Strut ] Gas-Filled Strut.
5 Ball Head Pin
• 14 Nm
6 Hex Nuts
• 21 Nm
7 Hex Head Bolts
• 21 Nm
8 Hood Hinge
• To remove, hood - 1 - must be removed or propped up securely.
Hood Hinge
- To remove hinge- 2 - hood- 1 - must be removed or propped up securely.
- Remove the bolts - 3 - and nuts - 4 -.
- Tighten hex screw to 21 Nm when installing.
- Tighten hex nut to 21 Nm when installing.
Lid Hinge Cover
When installing, first insert cover tab - 1 - in square hole.
- Engage top of cover, turn lightly and allow tab to engage in direction of arrow at bottom of hinge - 2 -.
Rubber Stop
Catch, Removing and Installing
- Remove the cap nuts - 3 - and remove the catch - 2 -.
- To install, tighten cap nuts- 3 - to 11 Nm on hood - 1 -.
Lower Part Of Hood Lock, Removing
- Disengage hood cable. Refer to => [ Hood Cable Overview ] Service and Repair.
- Remove the screws - 3 -. Tightening specification: 11 Nm.
- Remove lower part of lock - 2 - from lock carrier - 1 -.
- To adjust hood height, move lower section of lock up or down as required.
Hood Trim, Removing
• To remove, remove trim - 2 - with clamps - 3 - from hood in steps.
