Driver Airbag Assembly Overview






1 Locking lever

• Use a T25 TORX(R) screwdriver, approximately 100 mm long

2 Steering Column Electronic Systems Control Module (J527)

• with the airbag spiral spring/return spring with slip ring (F138) and steering angle sensor (G85)

3 4-spoke steering wheel

• If equipped

4 Wiring set

• For driver airbag igniter (N95) and driver airbag release valve igniter (N490)

• Replacing, refer to => [ Driver Airbag Igniter Connector N95/N490 ] Driver Airbag Igniter Connector N95/N490

• Press in to secure in the pockets on the steering wheel.

5 Driver side airbag with driver airbag igniter (N95) and driver airbag release valve igniter (N490)

Follow all safety precautions when working on pyrotechnic components. Refer to => [ Pyrotechnic, Electrical and Mechanical Restraint System Components, Safety Precautions and Testing Procedures ] Testing and Inspection.

6 Bolt

7 3-spoke steering wheel

• If equipped

8 Wiring set
