Secondary Air Injection Right Combination Valve
Removing
• During installation, all cable ties must be installed at the same location.
- Remove the right front muffler. Refer to => [ Front Muffler ] Front Muffler.
- Remove the right front wheel housing liner - 6 -.
- Remove the right bolts - arrows - and the right heat shield - 1 -.
- Free up the Oxygen Sensor (O2S) 2 after catalytic converter (G131) wire.
- Remove the bolt - 1 - and nuts - arrows -. Then remove the right catalytic converter from the exhaust manifold.
- Remove the throttle valve control module (J338).
- Disconnect the electrical connector - 2 - on Evaporative Emission (EVAP) canister purge regulator valve 1 (N80) and disconnect the vacuum hose - 3 - by pressing the release buttons.
- Remove the EVAP canister purge regulator valve 1 from the bracket and lay it aside with the hose connected.
• Ignore - 1 -.
- Remove the bolts - arrows - and the heat shield - 1 -.
- Remove the vacuum line - 2 - from the Secondary Air Injection (AIR) combination valve.
- Remove the bolts - 3 -, remove the right secondary air combination valve and remove the bolts - 1 - for the secondary air hose.
Installing
Install in reverse order of removal. Note the following:
Tightening specifications:
• => [ Secondary Air Injection System Overview ] Service and Repair
• => [ Secondary Air Combination Valve Heat Shield - Tightening Specification ] Service and Repair
• Replace the gasket.
- Electrical connections and routing.
- Install the subframe heat shield.
- Install throttle valve control module.
- Install the right catalytic converter. Refer to => [ Right Catalytic Converter ] Right Catalytic Converter.
- Install the front wheel housing liner.
