Left/Right Rear Upper Body Vent Temperature Sensor (G635)/(G636)

Removal






- Remove center console.

- Label the harness connector - 1 - and - 5 -.

• If the harness connectors - 1 - and - 5 - are interchanged, the particular measured value is detected incorrectly by the control module and the regulation of the A/C system is faulty. Check using the Vehicle Diagnostic Tester in the "Guided Fault Finding" function.

- Disconnect the electrical harness connector - 1 -, turn the left rear upper body vent temperature sensor (G635) - 2 - counterclockwise and pull it out of the mount.

- Disconnect the electrical harness connector - 5 -, turn the right rear upper body vent temperature sensor (G636) - 4 - counterclockwise and pull it out of the mount.

Installation

Installation is done in reverse order, observe the following:

- Replace a damaged or defective sealing ring - 3 -.

- Install the center console.

After completion of the repair work, perform the following work on the control head using the Vehicle Diagnostic Tester in the "Guided Fault Finding" function:

- Read out the event memory and erase any displayed entries.
