Left/Right Rear Footwell Vent Temperature Sensor (G637)/(G638)

Special tools, testers and auxiliary items required

• Trim Removal Wedge (3409)

Removal






- Move the front seat to the front and all the way up.

- Unclip the cover - 1 - in the front with the (3409) and remove the cover in the - direction of the arrow - from the coupling station - 2 -.

- Carefully lift the floor covering on the inside of the coupling station.

- Under the raised floor covering, turn the vent temperature sensor - 1 - counterclockwise and pull it out of the mount.






- Disconnect the electrical harness connector - 2 -.

• If the electrical harness connectors obstruct the accessibility of the vent temperature sensor, disconnect the electrical harness connectors for the front seat while observing the safety precautions.

Installation

Installation is done in reverse order, observe the following:

- Replace a damaged or defective sealing ring - 3 -.

After completion of the repair work, perform the following work on the control head using the Vehicle Diagnostic Tester in the "Guided Fault Finding" function:

- Read out the event memory and erase any displayed entries.
