Compressor Pulley: Description and Operation

A/C Compressor Belt Pulley

Depending on engine and time period of production, A/C compressors made by different manufacturers and different versions may be installed. Refer to the Electronic Parts Catalog.

• At the start of production, the A/C compressors manufactured by Denso (type "6 SEU 14") were installed. A/C compressors from other manufacturers or another type may also be installed at a later time. Refer to Electronic Parts Catalog (ETKA).

• On 6 cylinder vehicles with a TFSI engine, the A/C compressor can be disconnected and removed from the bracket only if the refrigerant circuit is open. Refer to => [ A/C Compressor ] A/C Compressor.

• For vehicles with 8 cylinders TFSI- engine, the A/C compressor is driven by an input shaft, which can be removed and replaced only if the A/C compressor has been removed.
