Engine Oil Cooler






Engine Oil Cooler

Special tools, testers and auxiliary items required

Drip Tray for VAS 6100 (VAS 6208)

Removing

Risk of scalding due to hot steam and hot coolant.

The coolant system is under pressure when the engine is warm.

Reduce pressure by covering coolant reservoir cap with a cloth and carefully open.

- Drain the coolant. Refer to => [ Coolant, Draining and Filling ] Service and Repair.

- Remove the accessory assembly bracket. Refer to => [ Auxiliary Components Bracket ] Service and Repair.

- Remove the bolts - 4 and 5 - and remove the engine oil cooler - 3 - together with the seal - 2 -.






Installing

Install in reverse order of removal. Note the following:

Tightening specifications, refer to => [ Oil Filter, Oil Cooler and Oil Pressure Switch Overview ] Oil Filter, Oil Cooler and Oil Pressure Switch Overview.

Always replace gaskets and seals.

Secure all hose connections with hose clamps of the same type as those equipped by the factory. Refer to the Parts Catalog

- Install the engine oil cooler - 3 - with a new seal - 2 -.






- Install the accessory assembly bracket. Refer to => [ Auxiliary Components Bracket ] Service and Repair.

- Fill with coolant. Refer to => [ Filling ] Service and Repair.

- Fill the engine oil and check the level.
