Front Bumper
1 Radiator Grille
• Removing, refer to => [ Removing Radiator Grille ] Decorative Grille
2 Bolt
• 8.5 Nm
• When installing, observe tightening sequence from inside toward outside.
3 Air Intake Grille
4 Bumper Cover
• If it has been covered with a transport brace, then it will have to be removed before painting.
• To remove, remove bolts - 1 -.
• Loosen hex bolt - 4 - beneath wheel housing liner.
• Remove bolts from wheel housing liner in this area and press wheel housing liner to the side.
• Remove TORX(R) bolts (T25) on wheel housing liner at left and right (3x each).
• Remove sheet metal screws - 10 - on underside.
• Remove bolts for mounting noise insulation.
• First unclip bumper cover first at top from guide piece - 6 - and fender, then pry over wheel housing liner and remove forward from lock carrier.
5 Bumper
• Bumper cover removed.
• To remove, remove bolts - 3 - and pull bumper forward out of shock absorbers.
6 Window
7 Bolt
• 23 Nm
8 Shock Absorber
9 Nut
• 23 Nm
10 Fog Lamps
11 Expanding Clip
• Inserted in fender.
12 Guide Piece
• To remove, remove sheet metal screws - 7 -.
13 Bolt
• 1.5 Nm
14 Bolt
• 4 Nm
• Push wheel housing liner to the side in area of bolt.
15 Bolt
• 1.5 Nm
Remove the Transport Brace if the Fender is Covered Up.
- Remove the transport brace - 2 - from the left - arrow - and right cover - 1 - before painting.
Removing Left Shock Absorber
- Bumper cover and bumper removed.
- Remove hex bolts - 2 - (mounting lock carrier to longitudinal member).
- Tightening specification: 23 Nm.
- Remove the TORX(R) bolts - arrows - and then remove the bumper - 1 - from the lock carrier.
Removing Right Shock Absorber
- Bumper cover and bumper removed.
- Remove hex bolts - 2 - (mounting lock carrier to longitudinal member).
- Tightening specification: 23 Nm.
- Remove the TORX(R) bolts - arrows - and then remove the bumper - 1 - from the lock carrier.
Guide Piece for Bumper Cover
- Press in expanding clip into fender from below.
- When installing, secure guide piece - 2 - with bolts, starting from front and working toward rear.
- Tighten bolts to - 3 - to 1.5 Nm.
