Windshield Washer Fluid Reservoir, Vehicles without Auxiliary Heating

Special tools, testers and auxiliary items required

• Drip tray

Removing

- Switch off ignition and remove ignition key.

- Remove right front wheel.

- Remove front right wheel housing liner.

- Remove the right headlamp.

• Halogen headlamps. Refer to => [ Headlamps ] Halogen Headlamp, Through 05.2008

• HID Headlamps => [ Headlamps ] HID Headlamps, Through 05.2008

• Bi-Xenon gas discharge headlamps with cornering lamp. Refer to => [ Headlamps ] Bi-Xenon Gas Discharge Headlamps With Cornering Lamp, Through 05.2008

Vehicles with gasoline engine






- Remove the line - 3 - on the filler tube - 2 - for the windshield washer fluid reservoir to the EVAP canister.

- Remove the EVAP canister, with the lines still connected, upward and out of its mount - arrow - and lay it to the side.

- Remove the screw - 1 - on the windshield washer fluid reservoir filler tube.

Vehicles with TDI engine






- Remove the fuel filter, with the lines still connected, upward and out of its mount - arrow - and lay it to the side.

- Remove the screw - 1 - on the windshield washer fluid reservoir filler tube- 2 -.

All






- Place a drip tray under the windshield washer fluid reservoir.

- Remove the washer fluid lines - 4 - and - 5 - on the windshield washer fluid pump.

- Free up wiring harness.

- Disconnect electrical connectors - 1 to 3 -.

- Remove the windshield washer fluid reservoir - arrows -.

Installing

Install in reverse order of removal, noting the following:

• Washer fluid hose must engage audibly into connection for washer fluid pump.

- Install the right headlamp

• Halogen headlamps. Refer to => [ Headlamps ] Halogen Headlamp, Through 05.2008

• HID Headlamps. Refer to => [ Headlamps ] HID Headlamps, Through 05.2008

• Bi-Xenon gas discharge headlamps with cornering lamp. Refer to => [ Headlamps ] Bi-Xenon Gas Discharge Headlamps With Cornering Lamp, Through 05.2008

- Install the right front wheel housing liner.
