Shift Knob with Shift Lever Boot

Special tools, testers and auxiliary items required

• Hose Clip Pliers (V.A.G 1275)

Removing

• The shift knob is removed together with the shift lever boot and the center console cover.

- Open the ashtray.

- Carefully pry the cover off from the center console - arrow -.






- Lift the cover upward over shift knob.

- Open the clamp - arrow - and remove the shift lever knob with the shift lever boot.






Installing

Install in reverse sequence; note the following points:

- Push the shift knob and the shift lever boot all the way onto the shift lever.

- Secure shift knob to shift lever with clamp - arrow -, by using the (V.A.G 1275).
