Front Three-Point Seat Belt
• Follow the safety precautions for pyrotechnic components.

1 Bolt
50 Nm
• If three-point seat belt is being removed for accident repairs, replace bolt.
2 Three-point Seat belt
3 Upper B-pillar Trim
• Removing and installing, refer to => [ Upper B-pillar Trim ] Upper B-pillar Trim.
4 Bolt
50 Nm
• If three-point seat belt is being removed for accident repairs, replace bolt.
5 Seat Belt Height Adjuster
6 Belt Relay
7 Belt Tensioner Connector
8 Belt Roller/Belt Tensioner
Removing
- Remove lower A-pillar trim, refer to => [ Lower A-Pillar Trim ] Lower A-Pillar Trim.
- Remove the rear bench seat, refer to => [ Rear Bench Seat ] Rear Bench Seat.
- Remove sill panel trim, refer to => [ Sill Panel Strip ] Sill Panel Strip.
- Disconnect the battery ground wire with the ignition off.
- Remove bolt - 10 - on outer floor assembly anchorage point.
- Remove upper B-pillar trim.
- Remove the bolt - 4 -.
- Remove belt relay - 6 -.
- Disconnect connector - 7 - from belt roller/belt tensioner.
- Remove the bolt - 1 -.
- Disengage belt roller/belt tensioner - 8 -.
- Remove front three-point seat belt - 2 -.
Installation
Installation is reverse of removal, but note the following:
- Make sure the safety belt roller/safety belt tensioner - 8 - is correctly installed in the side panel => [ Belt Roller/Belt Tensioner, Engaging in Side
Panel ].
- Make sure the connector - 7 - is installed all the way.
- After installing belt relay - 6 -, it must swing into carrier direction.
- Ensure three-point seat belt is not obstructed by wires, insulation, etc.
Connect the battery with the ignition switched on. Pyrotechnic components could deploy after connecting the battery if they were not repaired correctly. Individuals must not be inside the vehicle when connecting the battery.
- Disconnect the battery ground wire with the ignition switched on.
• If Airbag Malfunction Indicator Lamp (MIL) (K75) indicates a fault after installation, DTC memory must be checked, deleted and checked again.
9 Outside Floor Assembly Anchorage Point
10 Bolt
55 Nm
• If three-point seat belt is being removed for accident repairs, replace bolt.
Belt Roller/Belt Tensioner, Engaging in Side Panel
- Engage tab on belt roller/belt tensioner in cut-out on side panel - 2 -.
Connector and Connector Lock, Disconnecting from or Connecting to Belt Roller/Belt Tensioner
Before handling pyrotechnical components (for example, disconnecting the connector), the person handling them must "discharge static electricity". For example, by briefly touching the door striker pin.
Removing
- Open lock - 1 - on connector - 2 - with a flat-head screwdriver.
- Remove connector - 2 -.
Installing
- Connect connector - 2 - as far as stop in belt roller/belt tensioner - 4 -.
- Press connector lock - 1 - as far as stop into connector - 2 -.
3 Belt webbing
• If Airbag Malfunction Indicator Lamp (MIL) (K75) indicates a fault after installation, DTC memory must be checked, deleted and checked again.
