Charge Air Cooler

Removing

- Remove the radiator. Refer to => [ Radiator ] Radiator.

- Remove front bumper cover.

- Remove the left and right air guides from the charge air cooler.

- Loosen the hose clamp - 2 -, lift the retaining clamp - 1 - just a little and remove the air guide hose.






Risk of injury from refrigerant.

The air conditioning refrigerant circuit must not be opened.


Risk of damage to condenser and refrigerant lines and hoses.

Do not stretch, kink or bend coolant lines and hoses.

- Remove the bolts - 1 - on the charge air cooler and - 2 - and on the condenser.





- Move the charge air cooler slightly to the rear, disengage it and then remove it downward.

Installing

Tightening specifications, refer to => [ Charge Air Cooler Assembly Overview ] Charge Air Cooler Assembly Overview.

Installation is in reverse order of removal, note the following:

The hose connections as well as the air guide pipes and hoses must be free of oil and grease before installing.

Secure all hose connections with hose clamps appropriate for the model. Refer to the electronic parts catalog ETKA.

In order to be able to securely mount the air guide hoses on their connectors, spray the screws on the previously used clamps with a rust remover.

- Install condenser.

- Install front bumper.

- Install the air guide hose with the connector coupling => [ Install the Air Guide Hoses with the Coupling ] Charge Air Cooler Assembly Overview.

- Install the radiator. Refer to => [ Radiator ] Radiator.
