Air Guide In Air Distribution Housing

To illustrate air guide in the air distribution housing, it is shown in the form of sectional views A - A and B - B.






1 - Air Distribution Housing

2 - Left Temperature Door (Driver Side)

Vehicles with manually regulated A/C system, right and left temperature doors are connected to each other via the shaft and are moved together by Temperature regulator door motor (V68).

3 - Air Guide To Air Guide Channel To Vent In Rear Center Console And To Center Instrument Panel Vents

5 - Right Temperature Door (Front Passenger Side)

Vehicles with manually regulated A/C system, right and left temperature doors are connected to each other via the shaft and are moved together by Temperature regulator door motor (V68).

6 - Left Footwell Door (Driver Side)

Shown in closed position.

Vehicles with automatically regulated A/C system: central doors (left, right and center) and both footwell doors are operated with each other via curved washers installed on control motor or on shaft.

9 - Auxiliary Air Heater Heating Element (Z35) (with Auxiliary Air Heater Control Module (J604) )

Not installed in all vehicles.

Only on vehicles with a diesel engine and depending on the vehicle equipment level, the vehicle may have an electric auxiliary heater or a gasoline-driven auxiliary heater. Check using Vehicle diagnosis, testing and information system (VAS5051B) under "Guided Fault Finding" (and also for the respective engine control module).

12 - Right Temperature Door (Front Passenger Side)

Vehicles with manually regulated A/C system, right and left temperature doors are connected to each other via the shaft and are moved together by temperature regulator door motor (V68).

Vehicles with automatically regulated A/C system: central doors (left, right and center) and both footwell doors are operated with each other via curved washers installed on control motor or on shaft.

14 - Defroster Door

Shown in closed position.

The change to the door has no influence on the A/C controls on vehicles with manual A/C (without automatic A/C) (the door is controlled only when the manual A/C is adjusted).

On vehicles with an automatic A/C, the Climatronic control module (J255) was already changed at the end of MY 2007. Refer to Electronic Parts Catalog (ETKA). The Climatronic control module, part number 8P0 820 043 beginning with index AE can be entered, via the "adaptation", and the version of the door in the air outlet to the defroster vents in the instrument and number of control motors on the A/C unit (with and without Airflow door motor (V71) ) ( Climatronic control module (J255) ) check using Vehicle diagnosis, testing and information system (VAS5051B) under "Guided Fault Finding".

16 - Central Door - Center

Vehicles with automatically regulated A/C system: central doors (left, right and center) and both footwell doors are operated with each other via curved washers installed on control motor or on shaft.

17 - Door In Air Guide Channel To Air Guide To Vent In Center Console At Rear

This door is operated via an actuating arm installed at center central door.

18 - Air Guide Channel To The Air Guide For The Rear Center Console Vents

This channel is currently sealed with a plug.

Introduction of a vent in the rear center console has not yet been finalized.
