Blower Motor: Service and Repair






Fresh Air Blower (V2)

Removing

- Remove the glove compartment.

- Remove screw clips - A - (different versions - C - and - D -) and remove insulation mat - B -.






- Remove bolt - A - (if present).






- Disconnect connector - D -.


Do not grasp fan wheel of Fresh Air Blower, force against the fan wheel or shifting the balancing weights fastened to fan wheel may cause imbalance and then problems during operation.

- Disengage locking mechanism - B - and rotate fresh air blower housing - C - in direction of arrow.

Connection between fresh air blower housing - C - and heater (heating & A/C unit of manual climate control system) may be sealed with sealing compound, in this case a great use of force is required for rotating.

Fresh Air Blower is installed in housing - C - and cannot be replaced separately. Refer to Electronic Parts Catalog (ETKA).






- Remove fresh air blower housing - C - from the heater (from the A/C unit on vehicles with a manual climate control system).

Installing

Reinstall all removed components in the opposite sequence while observing the following:

- Make sure the fresh air blower works correctly after installing it.

Observe correct seating position when installing the fresh air blower in heater (in heating & A/C unit in a manual climate control system).

After installing, check seat of fresh air blower housing in heater (in heating & A/C unit in a manual climate control system) and function of Fresh Air Blower.

Note that there are different versions of fresh air blower for vehicles without A/C (only with heater), with manually regulated and automatically regulated A/C system. Refer to Electronic Parts Catalog (ETKA).
