Coolant Pump

Removing

- Drain coolant. Refer to => [ Cooling System, Draining and Filling ] Procedures.

- Toothed belt, removing. Refer to => [ Toothed Belt ] Toothed Belt.

- Remove the bolts - 1 - and the coolant pump - 2 -.





- Remove O-ring - 3 -.

Installing

• Tightening specifications, refer to => [ Coolant Pump and Coolant Thermostat Assembly Overview ] Coolant Pump and Coolant Thermostat Assembly Overview.

Installation is in reverse order of removal, note the following:

• Replace O-ring.

- Clean and smooth the O-ring sealing surface.

- Coat the O-ring - 3 - with coolant.

- Insert coolant pump - 2 -.

• Installed position: the plug in the housing faces downward.

- Install toothed belt (adjust timing) => [ Installing (Adjusting valve
timing) ] Toothed Belt.

- Fill with coolant. Refer to => [ Filling ] Procedures.
