Brake Pedal and Brake Booster






Brake Pedal and Brake Booster

Special tools, testers and auxiliary items required

Release Tool (T40024)

Separating

- Remove the driver side storage tray.

- Remove the brake lamp switch by rotating it 45° toward the left.

If the vehicle has a brake lamp switch depends on the model.

- Disconnect the brake pedal from the brake booster using (T40024).






- Guide in the (T40024) and press together, while pulling brake pedal toward the driver seat. (The brake pedal will thereby be pulled off the ball head of the push rod.)

Installing

Installation is in reverse order of removal, with special attention to the following:

Brake Pedal and Brake Booster, Connecting

- Hold ball head of push rod in front of mounting and push brake pedal in direction of brake booster, so the ball head locates audibly.






- Install the brake lamp switch. refer to => [ Brake Lamp Switch on Brake Pedal ] Brake Lamp Switch on Brake Pedal.

If the vehicle has a brake lamp switch depends on the model.

- Install the driver side storage tray.
