Sunroof / Moonroof Motor: Service and Repair

Sunroof Motor

Special tools, testers and auxiliary items required

• Special Hook (3370)

Removing

• Remove motor only in roof closed position.

- Close glass sunroof, use emergency operation if necessary. Refer to => [ Sunroof Panel ] Service and Repair.

- Remove the reading lamp cover carefully using (3370).






- If applicable, disconnect the connection - 1 - from the hands-free microphone.






- Remove the bolts - arrows -.






- Tip front interior light/reading light down and remove it from vehicle headliner.

- Disconnect electrical connectors.

- Remove the bolts - arrows -.






- Remove sunroof motor - 2 - from opening in vehicle headliner.

- Disconnect the connector - 1 -.

Installing

Installation is reverse of removal, noting the following:

- Install motor only in roof closed position.
