Convertible Top Compartment Cover Hinge

Special tools, testers and auxiliary items required

• Pry lever (80 - 200)

Removing





- Remove the convertible top compartment cover. Refer to => [ Convertible Top Compartment Cover ] Convertible Top Compartment Cover.

- Open the right luggage compartment side trim panel.

- Press the release, disconnect the connector - 1 - and remove it from the bracket.

- Remove the bolt - 2 -.

- Cut the cable tie on the hydraulic cylinder from the convertible top compartment cover side.





- Push the expanding pins - 2 - in - direction of arrow - and remove the wiring harness cable channel - 1 - on the hinge.

- Open the clip - 2 - on the hydraulic cylinder with a screwdriver - 1 - and pull it out to the side.





- Remove the clip - 3 - using pry lever (80 - 200).

- "Close" the hinge and remove the screws - arrows -.





- Remove the convertible top compartment hinge - 1 -.

- Remove the clip - 2 - and remove the bolt from the hinge from the opposite side.

- Remove the hydraulic cylinder from the mount on the hinge with the wires still connected.

Installation

• Tightening specifications, refer to => [ Hinge and Hydraulic Cylinder Assembly Overview ] Hinge and Hydraulic Cylinder Assembly Overview.

Installation is reverse of removal, but note the following:

- Install the convertible top compartment cover. Refer to => [ Convertible Top Compartment Cover ] Convertible Top Compartment Cover.
