Engine Mount






Engine Mount

Special tools, testers and auxiliary items required

Engine Support Bridge (10 - 222 A)

Bracket with Spindle and Hook (10 - 222 A /10)

Adapter (10 - 222 A /19)

Engine Sling (2024 A) and Bracket (2024 A/1)

Bracket (T10014)

Removing

- Remove the ribbed belt tensioner. Refer to => [ Ribbed Belt Tensioner ] Service and Repair.

- Remove the air filter housing.






- Remove the air guide hose by loosening the hose clamps - arrows -.






- Remove the left and right engine mount nuts - arrow -.






- Remove the left front wheel housing liner..






- Remove the nuts and bolts - arrows - on the refrigerant line clamps.






To position the (10 - 222 A /19) on the longitudinal members, move the refrigerant lines slightly to the side.

- Mount the (10 - 222 A) with the engine supports (T40091/3) and 2 spindles onto bolted fender edges.






The spindles are positioned forward.

- Attach both spindles to the rear engine lifting eyes.

- Install the other components of the (10 - 222 A) as illustrated; when doing this, place the (10 - 222 A /19) on the notches in the longitudinal members.






- Slide support (T40091/2) into both connectors (T40093/4) with slide (T40093/5).

Risk of accident due to loose supporting elements.

Secure (T40091/2) with connector pins and (T40093/4).

- Install the (T10014) into the hole in the ribbed belt tensioning element.






- Remove eyelet for the (2024 A).

- Install the bolt - 1 - into the center hole in the engine sling and secure it with a cotter pin.






- Attach the engine sling bolt to the front spindle of the engine support bridge.

- Install the bracket (2024 A/1) to the left side of the engine sling.

- Attach the (2024 A) to the right front engine lifting eye and to the (T10014).

Risk of accident due to unsecured engine sling.

Secure the mounting hooks and pins on the engine support bridge using securing pins - arrows -.

- Raise engine until engine supports are above engine bracket threaded pins and evenly tension both spindles to achieve even weight distribution.

- Remove the left and right bolts - arrows - and remove the engine mount from the engine carrier.






Installing

Install in reverse order of removal. Note the following:

For the correct tightening specifications, refer to => [ Subframe Overview ] Subframe Overview.

The hose connections as well as the air guide pipes and hoses must be free of oil and grease before installing.

Secure all hose connections with hose clamps appropriate for the model, refer to the Parts Catalog.

- Install refrigerant lines.

- Install the wheel housing liner.

- Install the air filter housing.

- Install the air duct hose and screw-type clamps. Refer to => [ Install the Air Duct Hoses and Screw-Type Clamps. ] Air Duct Pipes and Air Duct Hoses Overview, Vehicles Built Through 05.10.

- Install the ribbed belt tensioner. Refer to => [ Ribbed Belt Tensioner ] Service and Repair.
