Front Side Airbag Overview






1 Front Side Airbag

• Driver side with the driver side airbag igniter (N199).

• Passenger side with the front passenger side airbag igniter (N200).


Follow all safety precautions when working on pyrotechnic components.

• Removing and installing, refer to => [ Driver or Front Passenger Side Airbag Igniter ] Driver or Front Passenger Side Airbag Igniter.

• Installed from the top into the cloth pocket on the backrest cover (pocket not shown).

• Pocket sewn with cover.

2 Hook

• For securing the side airbag to the backrest frame.

3 Backrest Frame

4 Bolt

• 10 Nm

• Always replace if removed.

• Threaded hole for screws must be cleaned, for example, with thread cutter.

5 Wiring Harness

• From the driver side airbag igniter (N199) or front passenger side airbag igniter (N200) to the coupling station.
