Small Coolant Pipe

Special tools, testers and auxiliary items required

Hose Clip Pliers (VAS 6340)

Removing

- Drain coolant. Refer to => [ Cooling System, Draining and Filling ] Service and Repair.

- Loosen the hose clamps - arrows - and remove the air guide hose.






- Remove the bolts - arrows - and remove the electrical connectors - 1 through 3 - from the bracket.






- Loosen hose clamp - 1 - and lift clamp - 2 - to remove the coolant hoses.






- Remove the bolts - arrows - and remove the small coolant pipe.

Installing

Installation is performed in the reverse order of removal, noting the following:

Tightening specifications, refer to => [ Coolant Pipes and After-Run Coolant Pump Overview ] Coolant Pipes and After-Run Coolant Pump Overview.

Replace O-rings.

The hose connections as well as the air guide pipes and hoses must be free of oil and grease before installing.

Secure all hose connections with hose clamps appropriate for the model. Refer to the electronic parts catalog ETKA.

In order to be able to securely mount the air guide hoses on their connectors, spray the screws on the previously used clamps with a rust remover.

- Connect the coolant hose with the connector coupling => [ Connect the Coolant Hose with the Connector
Coupling ] Radiator and Coolant Fan Overview.

- Fill with coolant. Refer to => [ Filling ] Service and Repair.
