Seat Angle Adjustment Motor, Removing If Faulty

Special tools, testers and auxiliary items required

Seat Repair Stand (VAS6136)

Before removing the seat angle adjustment motor, check the electric and electronic components as well as the wiring to prevent any unnecessary repair costs.

Remove if the seat angle adjustment motor is faulty


Follow all safety precautions when working on pyrotechnic components.

Before handling pyrotechnic components (for example, disconnecting the connector), the person handling them must discharge static electricity. For example, by briefly touching the door striker pin.

- Remove the front seat. Refer to => [ Power Standard Front Seat ] Power Standard Front Seat.

- Attach the front seat to the (VAS 6136). Refer to => [ Front Seat, Installing on Seat Repair Stand ] Overhaul.

- Disconnect the connector on the seat angle adjustment motor.






- Remove the screw - 1 - and remove the seat angle adjustment motor.

- Hold the spindle - 2 - with pliers and remove the screw - 1 -.






- Remove the four screws - arrows - and remove the seat angle adjustment motor.

- Remove the spindle from the spindle nut - 3 -.

Installation
