Transmission Mount
Special tools, testers and auxiliary items required
• Engine Support Bridge (10 - 222 A)
Removing
Risk of destroying electronic components when disconnecting the battery.
• Follow the procedure for disconnecting the battery.
- Remove cover - 1 - from above battery, by pressing the release tabs - arrow -.
- Disconnect and remove the battery only with the ignition switched off.
Vehicles with an Air Filter Housing in front of the Battery
- Remove the entire air filter housing.
Continued for All Vehicles
- Remove the bolts - arrows - and remove the battery tray - 1 -.
- Remove engine cover.
- Position (10 - 222 A) with (10 - 222 A /3) on to bolted flanges of fender.
- Hook the hooks of the spindles into the lifting eyes.
- Pretension the engine evenly using both spindles, but do not lift.
- Remove bolts - arrows -.
- Open wiring guide bracket - arrows -.
- Cut cable ties - 1 - and press electrical wires to side.
- Unclip wiring guide.
- Remove bolts - 1 - and remove transmission mount - A -.
Installing
• Tightening specifications. Refer to => [ Subframe Mount Overview ] Description and Operation.
Install in reverse order, paying attention to the following:
- Install transmission mount - A - on long member.
Risk of damaging threads in transmission bracket - 1 - by inserting bolts crooked.
• Before installing bolts - arrows -, transmission bracket - 1 - and transmission mount support arm - 2 - must be absolutely parallel to each other. If necessary, raise rear of transmission with trolley jack.
- Raise transmission with engine support bridge spindle until transmission bracket - 1 - touches transmission mount support arm - 2 -.
- Adjust subframe mount.
- Tighten the transmission mount support arm - 2 - on transmission bracket.
- Remove (10 - 222 A) from engine.
- Install the engine cover.
- Install the battery tray and the battery.
- Install the air filter housing.
