Right Selector Shaft Seal

Special tools, testers and auxiliary items required

• Thrust Piece (T10174)

Procedure





- Remove the multifunction transmission range switch (F125) - arrow A -. Refer to => [ Multifunction Transmission Range Switch ] Multifunction Transmission Range Switch.

The shaft seal running surfaces on the selector shaft and transmission housing must not be damaged.

- Pry out the right selector shaft seal with a scribe or a small screwdriver.

- Apply Automatic Transmission Fluid (ATF) to the circumference and space between the sealing lips of the new shaft seal.

Installed position:

• Open side of the shaft seal faces the transmission.

- Drive in the new shaft seal using (T10174) without tilting the seal.

- Multifunction transmission range switch, installing and adjusting. Refer to => [ Selector Lever and Multifunction Transmission Range Switch Overview ] Description and Operation.
