Exhaust Gas Recirculation Coolant Thermostat and Connection

Removing

- Carefully pull the engine cover - arrows - off the 4 bolts one after the other.






- Drain the coolant. Refer to => [ Cooling System, Draining and Filling ] Procedures.

- Remove the bolt - 1 -.






- Loosen the clamps - 2 - and - 3 - and remove the exhaust gas recirculation coolant thermostat from the connection and from the coolant hoses.

Installing

Install in reverse order of removal. Note the following:

• Tightening specifications, refer to => [ Coolant Pump and Coolant Thermostat Overview ] Service and Repair.

• Replace O-ring.

• Secure all hose connections with hose clamps appropriate for the model, refer to the Parts Catalog.

- Clean the sealing surface.

- Fill with coolant => [ Filling ] Procedures.
