Shift Cable and Selector Cable Assembly Overview

• Grease bearing areas and slide surfaces with Grease (G 000 450 02).






1 Retaining washer

• Not needed with the plastic relay lever

2 Cable retainer

• For selector cable to relay lever

• Allocation, refer to => [ Allocation of Cable Retainers ]

• Beginning approximately 03.2007, the relay lever mount was changed to plastic, refer to => [ Plastic Relay Lever ] Plastic Relay Lever

• Removing from plastic relay lever, refer to => [ Plastic Relay Lever ] Plastic Relay Lever

• Pressing onto plastic relay lever, refer to => [ Plastic Relay Lever ] Plastic Relay Lever

• Release to adjust selector mechanism => [ Release the cable retainer for the selector and shift cables as follows: ] Adjustments

5 Shift cable

• Adjusting, refer to => [ Shift Mechanism, Adjusting ] Adjustments

• Beginning with MY 2008, the mounting on the shift lever inside the shift mechanism was changed

6 Lock washers

• Discontinued from MY 2008

7 Circlips

8 Selector cable

• Removing and installing, refer to => [ Shift Cable and Selector Cable ] Shift Cable and Selector Cable

• Adjusting, refer to => [ Shift Mechanism, Adjusting ] Adjustments

• Beginning with MY 2008, the mounting on the shift bracket inside the shift mechanism was changed

• 20 Nm
