Left Selector Shaft Seal

Special tools, testers and auxiliary items required

• Thrust Piece (T10174)

Procedure





- Remove the selector lever. Refer to => [ Selector Lever ] Selector Lever.

The shaft seal running surfaces on the selector shaft and transmission housing must not be damaged.

- Pry out the left selector shaft seal - 1 - with a scribe or a small screwdriver.

- Apply Automatic Transmission Fluid (ATF) to the circumference and space between the sealing lips of the new shaft seal.

Installed position:

• Open side of the shaft seal faces the transmission.

- Drive in the new shaft seal using (T10174) without tilting the seal.

- Install the transmission selector lever, refer to => [ Selector Lever ] Selector Lever.
