• Engine Bung Set (VAS 6122)
• Drip tray
Procedure
Follow all safety precautions => [ Observe the following when working on the reducing agent metering system: ] Safety Precautions.
Follow the guidelines for cleanliness. Refer to => [ Clean Working Conditions ] Clean Working Conditions.
- On a vehicle with air suspension, activate vehicle lift mode.
- Remove the right rear wheel housing liner.
• Place a clean cloth under the separating location to catch any reducing agent that may leak out.
• Seal off all open lines and connections with clean plugs.
The reducing agent can cause skin irritation.
• Avoid contact with skin and eyes! Always wear protective gloves and safety glasses.
• If reducing agent should get on your skin, wash it off immediately with soap and water.
• If reducing agent gets in your eye, rinse the eye for several minutes with water.
• Never inhale or swallow the reducing agent!
• Should you swallow any reducing agent, rinse your mouth, drink plenty of water and contact a doctor immediately.
- Disconnect the return line - 1 - on the reducing agent delivery unit by pressing the release button.
- Attach an extension hose - 2 - to the reducing agent delivery unit connection - arrow - and drain the reducing agent into the container.
- Open the fuel tank flap.
- Remove the locking cap - 2 - from the reducing agent filler tube.
• Ignore - 1 -.
- Drain the reducing agent inside the active tank as far as possible into the drip tray using a hose.
- Seal the open lines and connections with clean plugs from the (VAS 6122).
After Filling, the following Steps must be Performed:
- Adapting adaptation value after draining AdBlue(R) or replacing components. Refer to => [ Adapting Adaptation Value after Draining AdBlue(R) or Replacing Components ] Testing and Inspection.
