Fuel Rail

If the fuel filter is being replaced, then the intake manifold runner position sensor (G336) must be adapted to the engine control module (J623) Vehicle Diagnosis and Service System (VAS 5052) "Guided Functions"

• Intake manifold must be removed. Refer to => [ Intake Manifold with Fuel Rail ] Intake Manifold With Fuel Rail.

- Remove hoses from EVAP canister.

- To do so, open hose clamp - 1 -.

- Loosen two bolts - arrows - of fuel rail.





- Pull hose connection - 1 - off from intake manifold and remove both bolts - arrows -.

- Open both fuel lines - 2 and 3 -.





- Carefully pry off linkage from Intake Flap Motor (V157) - 4 -.

- Remove Intake Flap Motor (V157) - 5 -.





- Pry fuel rail off from the intake manifold via the retaining tabs - arrows -.





- Remove fuel rail from intake manifold.

Installing

- Installation is in reverse order of removal.

- Intake manifold, installing. Refer to => [ Intake Manifold with Fuel Rail ] Intake Manifold With Fuel Rail.
