Pressure Plate: Adjustments

SAC Clutch Pressure Plate Adjuster Ring, Adjusting

The adjusting ring of the pressure plate must only be turned back to the stop if installing a new clutch plate with a used SAC pressure plate. If pressure plate adjusting ring does not turn back, SAC pressure plate is functioning with reduced release pressure which causes greater wear to the clutch, especially the clutch plate (clutch slips).

If the clutch plate is not replaced, the adjusting ring should also not be reset.

New SAC pressure plates are pre-adjusted and resetting is therefore not necessary.
