Condenser
• A condenser with a smaller internal volume is installed in the Audi RS4. Therefore observe the smaller fill quantity for refrigerant R134a in this vehicle.
Removing
- Drain refrigerant circuit.
- Disconnect refrigerant lines from condenser. Refer to => [ Refrigerant Lines, Disconnecting and Connecting from Condenser ] Refrigerant Circuit, Servicing.
- Remove the air guides between the bumper and the condenser.
- If necessary, detach or remove the power steering line cooler (not always necessary, depending on the vehicle).
- If necessary, detach or remove the coolant fan control module (J293) (not always necessary, depending on the vehicle).
- Disconnect the connector from the high pressure sensor (G65) - B -
- Remove bolts - A - (tightening torque 5 Nm).
Installing
Install in reverse order of removal.
- Check the type of seal at the connections and the refrigerant lines. These must be designed for the same type of seal. Refer to => [ Refrigerant Line to Component Connections ] Refrigerant Circuit, Servicing.
• Removed condenser contains refrigerant oil which must be restored to the refrigerant system (with new condenser).
