Manual Transmission, Checking Gear Oil Level

Procedure

• To check transmission oil level, vehicle must be level.

- Remove oil filler plug - arrow - to check transmission oil.





Check oil level with self-made tool, e.g. a bent wire.

Oil level with transmission code GYH

• Specification: The oil level is correct when the transmission is filled up to the lower edge of the filler hole.

Oil level with all other transmission codes

• Specification: Oil level 2 ± 1 mm below upper edge of filler hole.

- Install oil filler plug.
