Current engine speed transmitted by the instrument cluster control module (J285), vehicle speed, condition and value of the compressor torque transmitted to the instrument cluster control module (J285)





• If the vehicle was moved at a speed greater than 5 km/h after activation of the ignition prior to the start of the on board diagnostic, "1" in a vehicle at standstill indicates that at least one speed signal was received.





• Display "1" is shown e.g. shortly after activation of the ignition or if terminal "15" is not switched on (no signal is received by the instrument cluster control module (J285 )).





• A/C control head Climatronic Control Module (J255 ) utilizes different measuring values to calculate the compressor torque (e.g. ambient temperature, pressure in refrigerant circuit etc.) Depending on these influencing variables, a value between 1-25 Nm can be calculated with the compressor switched on. If the compressor is switched off, a value of less than 1.0 Nm is displayed.
