Evaporative Emission Control Canister: Service and Repair

EVAP Canister

• Checking for leaks. Refer to => [ Leak Detection Test, Performing ] Testing and Inspection.

Removing

Observe safety precautions. Refer to => [ Safety Precautions ] Fuel Supply System.

Observe rules for cleanliness. Refer to => [ Clean Working Conditions ] Fuel Supply System.

- Remove EVAP canister cover at bottom of spare wheel well - arrows -.





- Disconnect hose connections - 1 to 3 - at vent lines.





- Remove stud bolts - arrows - and remove EVAP canister.

Installing

• Tightening specifications. Refer to => [ EVAP Canister System Assembly Overview ] EVAP Canister System Assembly Overview.

Installation is in reverse order of removal, note the following:

• Secure all hose connections with hose clamps appropriate for the model.
