Convertible Top Deck Lid Latch: Service and Repair

Lock assembly for storage compartment lid, removing and installing

- Remove luggage compartment trim and disconnect harness connectors in luggage compartment.
- Remove cover from side trim.






- Remove bolts -2- and lift lock assembly -1- out of vehicle.
Tightening torque: 7 Nm (62 in lb).

Note: Captive nuts -3- can be moved as necessary for lateral adjustment






- Remove screw (arrow) from connecting plate and remove with hydraulic hoses.
Tightening torque: 10 Nm (7 ft lb)
Apply locking compound AMV 185 400 A2 to screws when installing
Connecting plate must be property aligned when installing. Observe markings on hydraulic hoses
