Audio Unit Removal/Installation

NOTE:

- Put on gloves to protect your hands.
- Take care not to scratch the dashboard and related parts.
- Lay a shop towel under the parts when working on them to protect the face panel from scratches or other damage.
- Eject all the disc(s) before removing the audio unit to prevent damaging the CD player's load mechanism.
- If you are replacing the audio unit, write down the audio presets (if possible), then enter them into the new audio unit.

1. Make sure you have the anti-theft code for the audio system.

2. Remove these items:

- Driver's inner dashboard trim Driver's Inner Dashboard Trim Removal / Installation
- Passenger's dashboard trim Passenger's Dashboard Trim Removal / Installation
- Center console panel Center Console Panel Removal / Installation
- Audio and HVAC switch panel Audio and HVAC Switch Panel Removal/Installation

3. Carefully remove the bolts (A) and bolts (B), then pull out the audio unit (C).

NOTE: There is a lever lock on connector A How to Troubleshoot the Audio System.





4. Disconnect the connectors, and detach the clip (D).

5. Remove the bolts (A) and the brackets (B).






6. Remove the self-tapping screws, then disconnect the connector (A), and remove the front panel (B) from the audio unit (C).





7. Install the audio unit in the reverse order of removal, and note these items:

- Make sure all the connectors and the antenna lead are secure.
- Enter the anti-theft code for the audio system.

8. Give the new anti-theft code to the client if the audio unit is replaced.
