Rear Differential Side Case Oil Seal Replacement

Special Tools Required

- Driver 07AAD-STKA100
- Oil seal driver 07AAD-STKA110
- Dust seal driver 07AAD-STKA120
1. Remove the rear differential. Rear Differential Removal

2. Remove the 40 x 55 x 7.5 mm dust seal (A) using a commercially available tool.
NOTE: Remove the dust seal with care so you do not damage the inside surface of the side case seal surface.

3. Remove the thrust washer.






4. To remove the 34.7 x 54 x 9 mm oil seal (A), install the 6 mm screw (B) (P/N 93901-16580) into the maintenance hole (C) of the oil seal as shown; the oil seal has four invisible holes from the surface for maintenance (4 places, 90 degrees apart). Remove the oil seal using pliers (D) and a screw driver (E) as shown.
NOTE: Do not thread the 6 mm screw into the oil seal more than 5 mm (0.20 in.).






5. Install a new 34.7 x 54 x 9 mm oil seal (A) into the rear differential side case (B) using the oil seal driver (C) and the driver (D).






6. Install the thrust washer (A), then install a new 40 x 55 x 7.5 mm dust seal (B) using the dust seal driver (C) and the driver (D).
