Symptom Troubleshooting: Pairing instructions are not displayed on the screen
Pairing instructions are not displayed on the screen
NOTE:
- Check the vehicle battery condition first.
- Check the connectors for poor connections or loose terminals.
- Make sure the cell phone is Acura approved (see handsfreelink.com).
1. Turn the ignition switch to ON (II), or press the engine start/stop button to select the ON mode.
2. Check if any system(s) other than Bluetooth audio system is displayed.
Does the other system display normally?
YES - Go to step 3.
NO - Replace the navigation display unit. Service and Repair
3. Press AUX button to select Bluetooth Audio source.
Does it change to Bluetooth Audio source?
YES - Go to step 4.
NO - Go to symptom troubleshooting for Bluetooth audio does not work.

4. Check if the audio system functions normally.
Is the system normal?
YES - Go to step 5.
NO - Go to symptom troubleshooting for No sound when Bluetooth audio is used.

- Without navigation Symptom Troubleshooting
5. Check either by using a known-good connected device or by using a known-good vehicle equipped with Bluetooth audio.
Does the Bluetooth cell phone operate normally?
YES - Substitute a known-good HandsFreeLink control unit, Service and Repair and recheck. If the symptom/indication goes away, replace the original HandsFreeLink control unit.
NO - Detective Bluetooth device.
