Checking CD Player

Checking the CD player

Fault-tracing information
If the customer has problems with a CD getting stuck in the CD player or CD changer, this may be because the integrated audio control module (IAM) is not fitted straight against the aperture where the disc is ejected and so is preventing the disc from being ejected.

Note! Do not attempt to remove the disc from the CD player or CD changer manually.

Action
If it is not possible to eject the disc by pressing the Eject button, try to eject the disc using VIDA and the Eject button.
If the disc is still not ejected, release the CD player or CD changer and check the front attachments on both sides of the integrated audio control module (IAM). If the attachments are damaged or crooked, try to carefully bend them into the correct position using pliers.
Check whether the integrated audio control module (IAM) can now be fitted directly facing the opening where the disc is ejected.
If the integrated audio control module (IAM) has to be replaced, use a replacement unit if possible.
