Checking central locking, locking problems when using the remote control

Note! This symptom fault tracing applies to the following markets and chassis numbers:
- US: 568001-588185
- EU: 568001-589216

The customer may experience problems with locking and/or unlocking the vehicle with the remote control. This may be due to an earlier disturbance in the production of remote controls that may have led to the battery contact in the remote control losing contact with the battery.
If the customer complains that the remote control does not work and this can be traced to the battery contact losing contact with the battery, replace the faulty remote control.
From and including chassis number 588186 on the USA market and chassis number 589217 on the EU market, the fault has been remedied.
