Active High Beam (AHB)

Active High Beam (AHB)

Active High Beam (AHB)

When Active High Beam (AHB) is activated, it controls the switching between high and low beam. When the headlights from oncoming traffic is discovered, the system automatically switches to low beam. The lights return to high beam about one second after the oncoming car having left the field of vision of the driver. This is also true if the vehicle catches up with another vehicle, the system then automatically dims the headlights.
Active High Beam is controlled using signals from the forward sensing module (FSM), light switch module (LSM) and the steering wheel module (SWM). By setting the light switch module (LSM) in the automatic position (AUTO), Active High Beam (AHB) can be activated. The activation is done by pushing the lever for the high beam on the steering wheel module (SWM) to the end position and then release. The camera on forward sensing module (FSM) detects objects on the road and automatically switches between high beam and low beam.
When the Active High Beam (AHB) is activated, a symbol lights up in the driver information module (DIM).
