Checking the memory function for the PSM.
Checking the memory function for the PSM.
Check whether the memory function for the PSM works correctly.
Ensure to have two remote keys and do not mix them up.
Caution!
The key memory can be activated/deactivated in the menu system MY CAR under:
1. Settings.
2. Car settings.
3. Car key memory.
Perform the checks according to the following steps:
1. Unlock the vehicle using remote key 1.
2. Enter the vehicle, close the door and start the engine.
3. Adjust the side mirrors and driver's seat to a position that is easy to remember, for example, front or rear limit positions.
4. Switch the engine off, exit the vehicle and close the door.
5. Lock the vehicle using remote key 1.
Perform steps 1 - 5 again, but use remote key 2 this time.
Note! Ensure to adjust the seat and side mirrors to the opposite position compared to the first attempt.
When the procedure has been completed a second time, now with remote key 2, unlock the vehicle using remote key 1. Check that the seat and side mirrors automatically adjust to the correct positions when the door is opened.
Then close the door and lock the vehicle using remote key 1. Unlock the car again, but this time using remote key 2. Check that the seat and side mirrors automatically adjust to the correct positions when the door is opened.
Let the vehicle stand for at least 2 hours and then try unlocking the vehicle again using remote key 1. Check that the seat and side mirrors automatically adjust to the correct positions when the door is opened.

2. If no DTC is stored, try reading out the memory positions for the power seat module (PSM).
If the seat does not move at all:
1. Check and remedy any stored DTCs for the power seat module (PSM).
2. Check that both keys are marked in the car key memory under My Car. If they are, analyse the bus signals from the CEM.
