An electric motor with an integrated control module is mounted on the front edge of the panorama rood frame and closes the roof using cables and links.
The sunblind is made of perforated cloth and function as a roller blind. The blind is opened and closed using cables connected to an electric motor with integrated control module.
The switch for the panorama roof is in the roof console.
The panorama roof and blind have an obstruction sensor that reduces the risk of anything being pinched. The anti-pinch protection deploys in both manual and automatic operation if anything obstructs the movements. In the event of an obstruction the panorama roof/blind stops and automatically reverses approximately 50mm.
The panorama roof is equipped with a wind deflector mounted at the front edge of the frame. The wind deflector consists of a frame with perforated cloth that guides the airflow over the roof and not into the car. The perforated cloth also reduces the low frequency resonance noise. When the panorama roof is opened the wind deflector is pushed up by two springs that protrude approx 80 mm in the upper position. The wind deflector is pressed up and down mechanically by the opening and closing. When the panorama roof is closed the wind deflector is concealed in the frame and is not visible.
The panorama roof and the blind can each be operated manually or automatically. They can also be opened and closed at the same time using a rapid open/close function. The panorama roof can also be set in ventilation mode and be closed with a remote key or central locking button.
Automatic operation
1. Opening, automatic
2. Opening, manual
3. Closing, manual
4. Closing, automatic
To open the blind to the maximum press the switch backwards to the position for automatic opening and release.
The panorama roof is opened by the switch being pressed back to the position for automatic opening and then released a second time.
Manual operation
To open the blind the switch is pressed backwards to the pressure point for manual opening. The blind moves towards maximum opening as long as the button is held pressed in. The roof is angled by the button being backwards to the pressure point for manual opening a second time.
The panorama roof is opened by the button being pushed backwards to the pressure point for manual opening a third time. The panorama roof moves towards maximum opening for as long as the button is held pressed in.
The roof and the blind are closed by pressing the controls forward to manual closure. For manual opening the blind must be completely open before the roof can be opened and the roof completely closed before the blind can be closed.
Rapid opening/closing
The panorama roof and blind can be opened or closed at the same time. To open the button is pressed backwards to the position for automatic operation twice and then released. To close the button is pressed forwards to the position for automatic operation twice and then released.
Ventilation mode
The front roof hatch is tilted to the ventilation position by the rear edge of the button being pressed upwards. In this position the roof is open approximately 50 mm at the rear edge at the same time as the blind is opened 50mm. The ventilation position is closed by the rear edge of the button being pulled downwards.
