Trim panel centre stack
INTRODUCTION
- Read through all of the instructions before starting installation.
- Notifications and warning texts are for your safety and to minimise the risk of something breaking during installation.
- Ensure that all tools stated in the instructions are available before starting installation.
- Certain steps in the instructions are only presented in the form of images. Explanatory text is also given for more complicated steps.
- In the event of any problems with the instructions or the accessory, contact your local Volvo dealer.
Trim panel centre stack
- Turn the ignition switch to position 0.
- Disconnect the battery negative lead.
Note! Wait at least three minutes before unplugging the connectors or removing other electrical equipment.
- Carefully pry off the air outlet panel all round. It is secured by five clips on the sides and at the top and with four catches on the bottom edge.
- Pull out the panel and disconnect the connector for the hazard warning lights.
A
- Insert a small screwdriver in the gap on the media player. Push in the inner catch and carefully pry off the border on one side using a weatherstrip tool. Repeat on the other side and remove the media player.

- Remove the four screws on the top edge of the panel.
- Remove the tunnel console's panels on both sides. They are secured by seven clips on the inside.
- Push in the catches on the cover, fold it downwards and remove.
- Remove the screw inside the panel.
- Remove the three remaining screws from the reverse of the centre console.
- Fold the floor mat to one side by the left-hand side of the tunnel console.
- Loosen the clips on the cable harness from the tunnel console.
- Disconnect the connector for the CCM.

- Release the shift-lock function.
- Move the gear selector to position "D".
A
- Carefully pry off the centre console panel. Start at the rear edge of both sides. The panel is secured with two clips along the long sides and with four catches around the gearshift panel and two catches at the sides, on top.
- Lift up the panel a little and make sure that all cables are free from the gear lever carrier and components in the tunnel console and then lift it out.

- Undo the screws and the connector for the keypad and remove them.
A
- Remove the 4 screws in the CCM.
- Pull it out slightly, disconnect the green connector at the bottom and place to one side.

- Disconnect the connector from the sensor.
- Disconnect the cable harness with clips from the panel.
- Remove the screws and remove the sensor.
- Carefully pry apart the cradle opposite the 12 V socket's catches and press out.
- Carefully pry apart the cradle opposite the keypad's four catches and press out.
- Place the panel to one side.
- Take the new panel from the kit and press the keypad securely into place.
- Take the two clips from the kit and secure them into the cradles in the panel's rear edge.
A
- Take the panel with CCM and insert the cables in the tunnel console.
- Position the upper edge of the panel and secure it with clips on the rear edge.
- Secure the panel in the centre console. Make sure that all clips engage.
B
- Connect the hazard warning light connector.
- Secure the top panel. Make sure that all air nozzles align correctly in the air ducts in the dashboard and that all clips and catches engage.
- Turn the ignition key to position II.
- Reconnect the battery negative lead.
